Endevor Endevor Natural Integration

Issue/Introduction

Is there a trace that can be enabled to help determine a problem with Endevor/Qucikedit panels to help in a troubleshooting process?

Resolution

Yes - the ISPVCALL Trace.
To see what happens under the covers during the QuickEdit EDIT service start via ISPVCALL trace.
- Get into QE
- Navigate up to the panel right before the EDIT panel
- ISPVCALL
- Hit the key to get to the EDIT panel and the error
- ISPVCALL
- Be sure to save the userid.ISPVCALL.TRACE dataset browsed to the user

This trace can be enabled from any panel within Endevor and/or Quickedit.

Another useful trace to show the Endevor/QuickEdit panels is the ISPDPTRC trace.
- prior to entering Endevor or QE, enter ISPDPTRC READ(DETAIL) on the command line.
- navigate to the panel that you are getting errors or need further details
- exit Endevor or QE and enter ISPDPTRC
- dataset userid.system.ISPPNL.TRACE will be produced for analysis
