Issue/Introduction
Experience cards are not displayed and not edit when Experience Card is "No data".
"Business service" was chosen, and an experience card was made. Experience cards are not displayed and not edit when Experience Card is "No data". Universe and Filters can not be changed in dit Exp card. WebLogic Agent is connected, but there is not any information from application server for 24 hours. Such a time. After the transaction trace information is deleted in 24 hours, the EXP card will not be displayed. Is this a spec? Or BUG?
Environment
APM 10.7 SP2. Sampling is disabled.
Resolution
When the Data agingTime expires, the Experience view cards will display "No traffic" or "No data" and the card is unavailable.
The default for the property introscope.apm.data.agingTime is one day.
Experience view cards are shown based on the internal cache we build. This cache is built periodically and maintained. Cache refresh brings partial maps, or full maps based on the amount of changes Map is encountering. A Full map refresh is obtained when there are significant changes in the map, and partial refresh if there are less changes.
introscope.apm.data.agingTime is used for the following 3 reasons.
Appmap edges/vertices to be aged out ( Meaning from internal cache) at that frequency (24 hours by default) . After this interval edges/vertices which are not seen in last 24 hours are removed from AppMap UI.
Secondly, this interval is also used for database query returns where data can be obsolete based on what is configured for that parameter.
Thirdly, it is also used for agent to resend the discovery transaction traces at half that interval provided that feature is not disabled from the agent side.
