Issue/Introduction

Noticed that there are two WebSphere on UNIX agents in the tarball which was downloaded :

IntroscopeAgentFiles-Legacy-NoInstaller10.7.0.197websphere.unix.tar
and
IntroscopeAgentFiles-NoInstaller10.7.0.197websphere.unix.tar

Which files should be used?

Environment

CA APM 10.7
Websphere
Unix

Resolution

No Installer means, its a manual install, extracting and copying the files manually. NO GUI- based install.

IntroscopeAgentFiles-Legacy-NoInstaller10.7.0.197websphere.unix.tar is the Legacy Agent.
You need the 'Legacy Agent' If you have already custom instrumentation or tracings, configured for monitoring. use legacy mode only if you are using an extension that has not been ported to new mode. CA APM versions before version 9.1 do not have new mode
And if monitoring
CA APM for IBM CICS Transaction Gateway
CA APM for IBM z/OS
