Issue/Introduction

Huge Page Compaction Defrag re-enabled after a reboot of Data Repository node. The dr_validate.sh modifies /etc/rc.d/rc.local to turn off Huge Page Compaction Defrag on the system, however, after a reboot, it is re-enabled.

Environment

Release: IMDAGG99000-3.6-Infrastructure Management-Data Aggregator
Component:

Cause

The /etc/rc.d/rc.local script is not executable by default on Redhat 7.x systems

Resolution

As a workaround, make the /etc/rc.d/rc.local script executable:

chmod 755  /etc/rc.d/rc.local

Upon reboot, the settings will be applied.
