Issue/Introduction

What steps are necessary to set up CA Service Desk Manager to authenticate against ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services)?

Environment

CA Service Desk 17.1 and higher.

Resolution

All CA Service Desk Manager versions can be configured to use external authentication by setting "Allow External Authentication" for the access type. From the CA Service Desk Manager perspective, there are no particular settings to consider ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) differently from any other LDAPs.

So basically it is just how to set up IIS/Tomcat with ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services).
