Issue/Introduction


Installation of Content Import Client (CIC) installation is failing with error 1603 

In %TEMP%\CICSetupCmd.log we could see this error : 

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Error: SQL Server did not return a response. The connection has been closed.

 

Cause

The file "Content Import Client.msi" contains an old version of file sqljdbc.jar which does not support TLS 1.2

Environment

Client Automation 14.0 SP2 and SP3

 

Resolution

Open an issue at CA Technical Support to request the fix T5J8096

T5J8096 is indicated for 14.0 SP2 but this fix could also be used for 14.0 SP3

File "Content Import Client.msi" delivered by this fix could be copied on source installation ITCM 14.0 SP3 (under WindowsProductFiles_x86\CIC)
