Issue/Introduction
We would like to execute testcases using Jenkins pipeline, but pipeline doesn’t have access to DevTest servers in higher environments. In this case, we are trying to use a single package with all TestRunner components and place it in a remote server. This way we can execute TestRunner by passing required parameters. Is there a single package with all TestRunner components that can be placed on a remote machine?
Environment
DevTest on release 10.4.
Resolution
Out of the box there is no single package with all TestRunner components to be placed on a remote server.
When installing DevTest, there is an option to install just the Workstation and not the server components - The Registry, VSE, Coordinator and Simulator will not be installed. With this option just the Workstation and the command line utilities are installed, including the TestRunner.
Additional Information
Here is the link to our documentation regarding the Jenkins Plugin: https://docops.ca.com/devtest-solutions/10-4/en/using/using-jenkins-plugin-for-ca-service-virtualization
There is also a Webcast recording regarding the plugin: https://communities.ca.com/videos/7212-webcast-replay-ca-service-virtualization-jenkins-plugin-august-30-2018
However, you would need to configure Jenkins with your Registry.
