Three CA Workload Automation CA 7® Edition - 12.0 (aka CA 7) PTFs called for CA 7 job AL2DCA70 from CAL2JCL to be run: RO97207, SO04554, and SO05860.
When AL2DCA70 was run, the DDTRSLM step gave RC=16 with error message DDTRS0015E but the return code "RC" displayed was blank so the cause was not able to be diagnosed.
How to diagnose the Datacom DDTRSLM utility error when the RC (return code) in the DDTRS0015E error message is blank?
DDTRS0015E INITDSF FAILED DSF COMMAND USRINITI, RC: .
DDTRS0020I DDTRSLM IS TRYING TO ROLL-BACK THE DATABASE DUE TO ERROR(S):
DDTRS0021I BACKOUT SUCCESSFUL
DDTRS0022I ROLLBACK SUCCESSFUL
The Datacom DDTRSLM utility should display the DSF return code (RC) in the DDTRS0015E message.
This is resolved by applying the appropriate solution:
Datacom version 15.1 PTF SO04485
Datacom version 15.0 PTF SO04715
Datacom version 14.0 PTF SO07918
After the solution is applied, rerun the DDTRSLM job and note the DSF RC received.
Refer to CA Datacom Messages section "DSF Return Codes"
In the case noted, after the relevant version of the Datacom PTF was applied to CA Datacom, the RC showed the DSF return code: UNA.
Return code UNA means:
USER NOT AUTHORIZED
The user specified is not authorized to execute the request.
For users of products accessing CA Datacom®/AD, you may be executing a function that is not allowed. For example, the DDTRSLM utility uses the CREATE TABLE statement during the IMPORT function of transporting an SQL accessible table. The CREATE TABLE and ALTER TABLE functions are not available in an CA Datacom®/AD environment.
Correct the error and reissue the command, or contact the person responsible for CA Datacom® Datadictionary™ security administration for proper authorization.
