Does CPFing Top Secret Passwords Go Through NEWPW Password Control Option Validation?

Issue/Introduction

When a password is passed from one system to another with the Top Secret Command Propagation Facility (CPF) active, does the password get validated so it meets the NEWPW password control criteria on the destination systems?

Resolution

NEWPW password controls are only checked when a user changes their password and not when they are CPFed. So whatever password they have from the originating system will be the password on the destination system when CPFed. There will be no validation of the password to make sure it conforms to the NEWPW password control option on the destination systems.
