Issue/Introduction

  • CCS previously distributed CAS9SAFC and CAS9RACL as load modules and sample source code.
  • RACF customers could modify the security tables within these modules to meet certain needs.
  • Although the modules are still distributed, the security tables are now created dynamically through CAIRIM. .


What is the purpose of the //CAIRACF DD included in the r14.1 and r15.0 CAS9 proc?

  • The CAIRACF DD was added to the CAS9 proc with r14.1
    • Points to control cards
    • Control Cards are input to the two user exits
    • RACF security tables created dynamically  
  • Eliminates the necessity for
    • Changing the source
    • Reassembly and Relinking of the module(s)
