Issue/Introduction
Why the following message is prompted "Property of CA Asset Portfolio Manager: restricted access" when attempting to edit a CI?
Environment
Service Desk 14.1 or higher
Resolution
It occurs because by default the external CIs like those added by Asset Portfolio Management are not allowed to be edited in Service Desk. In order to change them follow the instructions bellow:
1. Log in SD with an administrator account. 2. Go to the administration tab->Options Manager->Asset Information Service. 3. install "allow_unrestricted_asset_upd" 4. Restart the Service Desk service.
