When attempting to edit a given CI in Service Desk, receiving a message stating "Property of CA Asset Portfolio Manager: restricted access"
Service Desk 14.1 or higher
By default, the external CIs like those that were added by Asset Portfolio Management (APM) or IT Asset Manager (ITAM) are not allowed to be edited in Service Desk.
Service Desk is meant to operate as a support ticketing solution, where ITAM/APM is intended to maintain and manage asset inventory. By default, modification of a given CI that can exist in both SDM and ITAM is handled specifically by ITAM; interchangeable modification of Assets/CI's across both products is not enabled by default.
In order to change them follow the instructions bellow:
1. Log in SD with an administrator account.
2. Go to the administration tab->Options Manager->Asset Information Service.
3. install "allow_unrestricted_asset_upd"
4. Restart the Service Desk service.
