UIM - Update the message string in subject line of email alerts

Issue/Introduction

Have a URL being monitored in IM and configured Email alerts for this to a DL ,so that whenever the URL goes down an email should get send to the DL.

Need to modify the Subject line of Email that is being received by DL.

How can we accomplish this functionality in UIM
 

Environment

UIM 20.x/20.3.x/20.4.x
probe : emailgtw / nas

 

Resolution

Please go into the emailgtw probe and set up a new profile with the subject line you would like to use

emailgtw IM Configuration

Create a Profile

Create or Edit a Template

Variable Expansion

Then in the NAS AO profile to send the email instead of an email address use the profile name from the emailgtw probe.

Creating or Editing a Profile

This will allow you to control the subject line in an email message for different alarms.
