Classic UX - "Error 401 - Unauthorized" error when browsing tasks on the Timesheet page (navigating to page 2, sorting tasks by column)

Issue/Introduction

In the Classic UX timesheet page to add tasks into the timesheet, navigating to another page or sorting by column shows an error:

  • Error 401 - Unauthorized. You are not authorized to view the page. If you are sure you have access, try logging in again or contact your system administrator.

You are unable to add tasks if it involves moving to the next page. It throws the above permissions error. 

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure a user that has only the out of the box rights, and "Timesheet - Navigate".
  2. Open the user for Time Entry.
  3. Set the user Track Mode to PPM.
  4. Assign the user to one or more tasks.
  5. With the user from Step 1, open a timesheet and click on Add Task button. The task list will display.
  • If more than one page of tasks has been configured: Navigate to page 2.
Expected Results: Page 2 tasks are displayed.
Actual Results: Error is shown (Error 401 - Unauthorized).
  • For any number of tasks in the task list: Try to sort the tasks by any available column.
Expected Results: Tasks are now ordered by the selected column.
Actual Results: Error is shown (Error 401 - Unauthorized).

Cause

This issue is caused by DE48534.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in Clarity PPM 15.6 patch 1 (15.6.0.1) and in 15.6.1 (15.6 SP1).

Workaround:
Filter by the task name, project name or other criteria to narrow down to the task to add it to the timesheet.
