CA Web Viewer Tomcat Won't Start as a Service

Issue/Introduction

Web Viewer 12.1 for Windows we recycled CA DRAS and we rebooted the server.  Tomcat will not come up from the Services Panel.

Cause

The service.bat script was written to assume the Java development kit (JDK) was present and was searching in a loop for the Javac compiler which is not included with the JRE .

Resolution

Corrected the Tomcat service.bat script. It was written to assume the Java development kit was present and was searching for the Javac compiler. Modified the Tomcat service.bat script by commenting out the search for the Java compiler. Was able to uninstall and install the service. Was able to stop and start Tomcat from the services.
