Cannot Delete Company Records

Issue/Introduction

I am trying to delete a company and getting an error:
You cannot delete this object, since it is referenced by other objects.

Resolution

The company is assigned to a contact or other object.
To check if it is assigned to a contact, run a contact search. Enter the company name as criteria for the search.
If a contact is returned, remove the assigned company from the contact.
If a contact is not returned, you will need to check other objects for the company.
