Issue/Introduction



In the CA 1 Volumes object field Dataset Catlogd is set to Y although the data set is no longer cataloged and scratch.
Should this not be set to N in this case?

Resolution

The field "Dataset Catlogd" does not represent the current catalog status. 
It just says, that the data set was cataloged. 
The current catalog status is represented by field "File On OS Cat" 

Following from the Help for the CA 1 Volumes object 

CA 1 Volumes 
------------ 

Dataset Catlogd 
If set to Y, indicates that the data set was cataloged 

File On OS Cat 
If set to Y, indicates that the tape is cataloged on an OS catalog. 




NOTE: for the Files Object there are similar fields: 

CA 1 Files 
---------- 

DS Was Catlogd 
If set to Y, indicates that the dataset name was cataloged when 
the dataset was created. 

DS Is Catlogd 
If set to Y, indicates that the dataset name is currently 
cataloged in an OS catalog.
