Issue/Introduction

How do you verify if a specific PTF has been applied for Y1SY and Y2SY in 2E?

Environment

Release:
Component: C22E

Resolution

One of the steps that is perform when applying the PTF to 2E is to have the PTF libraries placed ahead of the respective 2E software library (Y2SY) and 2E Toolkit library (Y1SY). The PTF libraries are noted in the PTF instructions.  For example, with the 2E 8.7 Cumulative A PTF here are those libraries:
Y1870AC - CA 2E Toolkit Release 8.7 Cumulative PTF A
Y2870AC - CA 2E Release 8.7 Cumulative PTF A

These are the commands to review the 2E release and fix level for the product::
DSPDTAARA Y2SY/YRLSNBRRFA - Release level command
DSPDTAARA Y2SY/YFIXNBRRFA - Fix level command

The release level command will show a value of the installed release of 2E before and after the PTF is applied.  The fix number increments every time the 2E development team checks in new code in the *DEV source base.  For some Cumulative PTFs, we do not check in any *DEV code, in which case, the fix number may not change.  In the example above for the 8.7 Cumulative PTF A, the release level command would show a value of 8.7 before and after the PTF.   The fix level value would show a value of 1632 before and after the PTF as well.
