Issue/Introduction

CEVM CEMALERT Task getting CEM0212I CEM Listener Server Delay Messages, what can be done to address these messages?

Environment

Release:
Component: CEVM

Resolution

The CEMALERT CEMAPRM  parameter file MAXSERVER control option can be increased. Doing so allows for more concurrent policy server processing. The MAXSERVER control option is in the CEMALERT component PARMLIB(CEMAPRM) member. The default is 8, values from 1 - 32 can be specified. Increasing the value will help CEMALERT address the high volume of events entering the listener.

Increasing the MAXSERVER control option will help alleviate the CEM0212I messages, but the total load on the system due to CEVM will remain the same unless policy is modified to decrease the number of events captured.
