Load Data Warehouse fails intermittently with error on domain updates "Object has been closed."

Load Data Warehouse - Full and Incremental fail with the following error message:
Error occurred while processing domain attributes. SQL error code: 0 Error message: [CA Clarity][Oracle JDBC Driver]Object has been closed. Executed: select status_report_key from dwh_inv_status_report_ln Error: Data warehouse is not up to date. DWH meta column status_report_key is not in DWH table dwh_inv_status_report_ln hence quiting from domain updates
This would be on domain updates, the ETL part will run just fine and successful. One time it will work, next time it would fail, so it was intermittent.
We ran restore domains command but still had the issue and it was continuing for days after a server patch
