Issue/Introduction

On my test z/VM system, I am getting message:

SSXAUT6362E File(s) are not being backed up because SSXAUT6362E disk space is not available.

Have tried running the cleanup and also restarting AUTOVSEG:

Resolution

As background, AUTOVSEG's A-disk is used for DCSS/NSS backups. Over time, as test segments are created and deleted, program product DCSSs are deleted or renamed, and other changes take place, AUTOVSEG's disk can become cluttered with backups of DCSS/NSS files which are no longer used.

The CLEANUP command ....which you already ran... is provided to simplify deleting these old backups. CLEANUP examines each existing backup against the existing SDF configuration, and deletes any backups which do not have a corresponding file.
This time when you ran, CLEANUP didn't have much, if anything, to clean up.

15:26:02 CLEANUP
15:26:02 SSXCLN002I No IMG backups exist. 15:26:02 SSXCLN002I No UCR backups exist. 15:26:02 SSXCLN002I No TRF backups exist. 15:26:02 SSXCLN002I No DCSSG backups exist. 15:26:02 No SDF backups eligible to be erased 15:26:02 45 backups kept, occupying 14169 blocks; disk statuses:

15:26:02 DSK291 291 B 45 14235-88 1965 16200

The 291 backup disk as displayed above, shows 88% full with only 1,965 blocks of free space.

Recommendation to increase the size of the 291 disk.
