Issue/Introduction

APPLY CHECK of a PTF fails with
-------------------------------------------------- 
GIM32501E ** APPLY PROCESSING HAS FAILED FOR SYSMOD RO92114. RO92114 SUPERSEDES RO90693 BUT DOES NOT CONTAIN MODULE PLMSSQ2A. 
-------------------------------------------------- 

When I look at the PTFs in question I see that both the PTFs  have a ++MOD statement for the module name claimed missing in the error message. 

What else could be wrong? 

 

Resolution

The copy of PTF being APPLIED is corrupted.

To determine: 

Check the SMPPTFIN DD input for the PTF claimed in ERROR to make sure it contains a ++MOD statement for the module name claimed missing in the GIM32501E message.
 If not found then that copy of the PTF has been corrupted.

To resolve: 

	(1). REJECT the bad PTF  (2). Download a non-corrupted copy of the PTF  (3). RECEIVE and APPLY the PTF
