Download a Librarian PTF and all of its pre-requisites

Issue/Introduction

This document provides step by step instructions on how to easily download a PTF and all of its pre-requisites from Broadcom Support Portal

Environment

Librarian V4.4

Resolution

Logon to Broadcom Support Portal - https://support.broadcom.com/.

 
Click on the My Downloads link on the left.

In the Search box enter -  libr  and click on the LIBRARIAN  result

On the Download page, need to change from the Product Download tab to the Solution Download tab:

  • Solution Download

 

On the Solution Download page,  look for the Product   Librarian Base+ LIB/AM+ TSO MVS   and click on the 4.4 link

On Solution Downloads page, enter  librarian  in the search box  and perform the Search

 

Add the necessary PTFs to the Download Cart clicking on the small box that says Add to Download when hovering over it.

 

When all PTFs have been added to the Download cart, click on the  Download icon in the top banner,

On the Download Manager page, make sure the    "Do you want a complete package for all?"  is toggled on.  This will ensure that all necessary pre-requisite PTFs are included.

Select the Download method wanted:    HTTPS Download  or Secured FTP download

• HTTPS Download will download a zip to your laptop 
• If using the Secure FTP download, a pop-up with FPT instructions is displayed.
