Issue/Introduction

Is the CA Datacom feature SMPTASK_USING_IEAV supported in version 15.0? If so, are there any PTFs required for it?

Resolution

The new MUF Startup Option is discussed in the version 15.0 documentation, under Administrating > Reducing Billable CPU Time for Every MUF in Your Environment (15.0). As noted in the documentation, you will need to have these solutions applied:
RO89818 (DB 15.0 #144 [OS]), "ANALYSIS OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN MUF AND APPLICATION" (Published 12 Jul 2016)  and you will need to run CAIRIM to refresh the DBPCCPR module. Running REPORT MEMORY=MVS will confirm the new module is in place.

RO90011 (DB 15.0 #138 [OS]), "INVALID COMMAND NOT GETTING RC 01(032) WITH XCF AND CCI" (Published 31 May 2016) This affects the DBINRPR module and needs to be refreshed if using CA SYSVIEW or other long-running tasks (like CA Datacom Server or CICS).

RO91812 (DB 15.0 #158 [OS]), "DIAGNOSTIC FOR SMP SRB PROCESSING IN MULTI-USER FACILITY" (Published 19 Sep 2016)
This solution affects multiple modules.

The steps for implementing this feature are noted in the documentation referenced above, including your answer about leaving the SMPTASK MUF Startup Option in place with 'SRB' as you mentioned.

In addition, there is a presentation of this and other features available from the CADRE Community. Please see the document titled What's New in CA Datacom V15.0 and V15.1? from 20 Sep 2017.
