Issue/Introduction
In doing a Top Secret access cleanup, a CA Deliver database was removed, regarding its access. As a result, several end-users were affected, receiving a S913 error, indicating that Top Secret does not have access to update the Deliver database.
Environment
CA View - All Releases
Resolution
CA View and Deliver databases are opened for output (UPDATE), because of Last Access information and User Profile information.
The SARXMS task needs UPDATE access to both View and Deliver databases.
Though always opened in UPDATE mode, some clients grant READ-only accesses to the Deliver datasets.
If the SARINIT EXPRESS=... parameter specifies a corresponding Deliver database, View users need READ authority for the Deliver database.
Program EE0XMSPF, which is the XMS ISPF interface, what the client uses, needs UPDATE authority for the Deliver database. Program SARSPF, which is the ISPF interface for View, needs READ authority for the Deliver database.
