The TCP/IP port values will need to be changed from 4 characters to 5

Where and how should I perform the HOLDDATA action "The TCP/IP port values will need to be changed from 4 characters to 5" ?

Environment

Release: NVINAM00200-5.3-TPX-Session Management-Access Management package
Component:

Resolution

This PTF corrects the TPX code to handle a 5 character numeric field in the SMF records generated by TPX.

The HOLDADATA refers to reporting programs that use the TPX SMF records.

  • If you do not cut TPX SMF records, then there is no action.
  • If you do create SMF records then your reports must handle the IP PORT now being 5 character in length.  In addition, if you report against raw TPX SMF records that span the new and old then your report must handle the case of mixed IP PORT field lengths.
