In IE11 Login to CA Service Catalog not possible or re-login occuring

Issue/Introduction

When starting the IE11 browser and (try to) login to the Catalog UI:
1. an error appears ( "either you lack authorization or your session have timed out") or
2. the login page gets returned to, after you hit (e.g.) Home/Requests

Cause

When you start the IE11 browser, you see 'Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is enabled'.

Environment

Windows running CA Service Catalog and IE11 browser.

Resolution

Solution:
Disable this 'Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration'.

To turn off Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration: 
1. Close any Internet Explorer windows that you might have open. 
2. Open Server Manager. 
3. If your server is running Windows Server® 2008 R2, 
a. in the Security Information section of Server Summary, 
b. click Configure IE ESC to open the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration dialog. 

4. If your server is running Windows Server® 2012, 
a. click Configure this local server to open the Local Server configuration page. 

5. Then, in the Properties area, next to IE Enhanced Security Configuration, 
a. click on the value 'On' to open the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration dialog. 

6. For both Administrators and Users, select the radio button 'Off'. 
7. Click OK to apply your changes.
