Provisioning Role Custom Attribute Multivalue Support Limitations in Identity Manager

Issue/Introduction

In Identity Manager, users may observe that custom attribute fields on Provisioning Roles are limited to single-value entries within the Profile screen, despite the Provisioning Server supporting multi-valued fields for these objects.

Cause

This behavior is a known product limitation. While the Provisioning Server architecture supports multi-valued custom fields for roles, the Identity Manager User Console exposes these attributes exclusively as single-value fields. The Profile screen configuration for Provisioning Roles does not currently permit changing the field type to a multi-value representation.

Resolution

There is currently no configuration change available to enable multi-value custom fields for Provisioning Roles within the Identity Manager User Console.

For future product consideration, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Broadcom Software Ideas Portal.
2. Search for existing enhancement requests regarding "Provisioning Role Multi-value Attributes."
3. Vote for the existing idea or create a new request to provide feedback to the Product Management team.
