The zPM and zDC licensing model don't include any check of the CPU Model or the CPU ID.

Is the DCI license key hardware-independent too?

Resolution

DCI uses a different license model, that is used by almost all the Broadcom mainframe products: the LMP key.
The LMP key is generated based on the license expiration date and the CPU ID, so it is actually hardware dependent.
The LMP key is also not version-dependent.
