Issue/Introduction

When using a policy backed identity provider, how can the variable, ${idp.error.message}, be overwritten in the calling policy?

All supported versions of the API Gateway

Resolution

It is not possible to override this variable. Custom logic would need to be implemented either in the policy backed identity provider to handle the setting/exporting of another named variable.
