Clarity-PPM-Not able to change project to Inactive status - PRJ-07002

Issue/Introduction

Attempt to set two projects to Inactive after setting the financial status to closed.

After a delay below error appears.

"PRJ-07002: Update operation failed."

The project then becomes locked.

Cause

This is caused by a process/job/etc that is updating the project.  When it is updating, the app locks the process from any other updates.  Below error can be seen in log files.

ERROR service.ODFService (<>) processRequest Exception 
com.niku.union.odf.exception.ODFException: com.niku.union.service.ServiceException: Service Exception 

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: [CA Clarity][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource

Resolution

Try to update the project later.  We are not able to define a time when the project will be available as that depends on what is locking this project
