Online doc https://docops.ca.com/ca-service-management/17-1/en/installing/installing-ca-service-management/installing-web-screen-painter has some description "We recommend to install the Web screen Painter on a different server than that of the CA Service Desk Manager" and this could make some users think that WSP can be installed on a standalone machine. This tech doc makes clear that WSP has to be installed on some Service Desk server.
Can Web Screen Painter install on a standalone machine? Like a laptop or Windows 7 machine.
Service Desk/CMDB 14.1, 17.1, 17.2 on Windows and Linux/Unix
Currently this is not possible. For Conventional Configuration, WSP should be on either primary or secondary server; for Advanced availability , it should be on the background server.
