Issue/Introduction

Within a 2E model, attempt to access Functions/Access Paths on a File and get error MCH3601 - Pointer not set for location referenced.

When we use "F" to view the functions over that file or "Z" to zoom to the access paths, get ejected from the model.  The error message is:
Message ID . . . . . . : MCH3601
Severity . . . . . . . : 40
Message type . . . . . : Diagnostic 
Message . . . . : Pointer not set for location referenced.
Cause . . . . . : A pointer was used, either directly or as a basing pointer, that has not been set to an address.

Resolution

Based on the MCH3601 pointer not set error provide.  It is likely that the model's Object Table User Space needs to be rebuilt.   To do this perform the following: 

1.  Ensure no one is using the model
2.  YDLTOBJTBL
3.  YEDTDTAARA YSNCMDLRFA, change value to N
4.  YSNCMDL
5.  Edit the model and see if you can Z into the files function/access path now.
