When trying to access the login screen, a "Loading Please Wait..." message is seen instead of the login form.
In some cases, a "504 Gateway Time-out" error may be displayed instead.
While the application is in the process of coming up and establishing communication with the database, we show the "Loading Please Wait" message to indicate that the application is not yet ready to process login requests.
In some cases, this message is displayed indefinitely or is replaced entirely with a "504 Gateway Time-out" error.

In most cases, this message will clear and display the ALM login page once the application has fully started. Typically less than 5 minutes.
If the message persists for more than 10 minutes it is very likely that the service virtual machine (VM) is unable to communicate with the database. Visit the database troubleshooting guide for steps to help determine why the services VM is unable to contact the database.
