Using CART Default Resource in ESP Workload Automation system.

How does ESP determine if a job needs X amount of default CART Resources?

Resolution

ESP calculates it once when the job is readied, based on the history in the JOBSTATS file for this job.

It calculates an average for a given job, the factual number of used tapes comes from the job end SMF record, and then it gets propagated to the jJOBSTATS file.
