We have a number of CICS regions with a long-running MQ listener task (that starts a payload task for each incoming MQ message). Is it possible for Sysview to log the current state/metrics of this task at regular intervals (e.g., corresponding to our statistics reset intervals), rather than just an end-of-task entry? If so, what configuration parameter settings are needed to accomplish this? We are trying to diagnose an ongoing workload-balancing issue across these regions; they all listen on the same (clustered) MQ queue, but some regions seem to be under-utilized. If this is not possible to set up, we may need to consider redesigning the listener task to stop and restart itself at the desired interval--but that seems like a tail-wagging-the-dog solution. We are running Sysview v15.0 and CICS TS 5.2 (soon upgrading to 5.4) under z/OS 2.2.

Resolution
Our recomendation would be that you would need to use CICS MNFREQ= SIT parm to accomplish this.
