Component: UIMSNC

Resolution

Starting from snmpc v3.44, you can store multiple database backups.

This safeguards from database corruption issues by saving multiple database backup files to recover from.
You need a add a new callback as a configuration key for the probe setup.

To modify the number of database backups, do one of the following:

Navigate to Raw configuration > Setup, and add a new key (BACKUP_COUNT)
Navigate to the configuration (.cfg) file and specify the value for the BACKUP_COUNT key, based on your requirement.
The backup files are appended with a date and timestamp. Example: dbbackup-Jul-20-2018(01.19).zip
The default recommendations for the count of DBs backed up is 5.

Backup files will be created in snmpcollector probe installation directory.
First backup will be taken after 1AM in the night, followed by regular backups every 24 hours interval.

Note:Ensure sufficient free space on disk where snmpcollector probe is installed as the addtional backups will consume disk space depending on size of local database i.e SnmpCollector.mv db file
