Issue/Introduction

Seems like AUTODST storage manager does not work with SYSVIEW 15.0 and CICSTS V5.4 with settings I have implemented.
Is there a setting I missed to allow AUTODST to work?
Works if I remove SYSVIEW from PLT startup.

Environment

Release:
Component: SYSVW

Resolution

We have identified the root of the extra GETMAINS and SYSVIEW is functioning as expected.
When SYSVIEW comes up in a CICS region, a CE-APM Global User Exit will be installed.
If APM is not installed, the exit will be disabled; otherwise it will be enabled.
Since you have APM installed, the exit is enabled and I can see this in the log you sent me.
This exit gets driven anytime a program executes an "EXEC CICS LINK".
When this happens, 2 GETMAINS are issued to allocate the DFHEISTG storage for the exit program.
This is done purposefully, so SYSVIEW is operating correctly.
It appears that these GETMAINS that are occurring for the user exit is outside of the AUTODST scope.
For more detail on the scope of AUTODST, I would recommend going to IBM.

The exit name is "XPCREQ" and it is a global user exit.
You can see more information on this and all other CICS global user exits on the CBGLEXIT display in SYSVIEW.
The XPCREQ exit is number 27 on this display. You might have two exits under number 27,
GSVCG027 is specific to SYSVIEW while GSVCA027 is the APM exit we've discussed
