Need to backout DE upgrade to previous version

Issue/Introduction

I need to back out one of our Workload Automation DE instances to the previous version. Concern is that we cannot back out the database. Can this be done and how?

Resolution

It is not possible to revert to 12.0 and maintain a 12.1 database. The database would need to be restored to a point PRIOR to the upgrade. 

1. Restore the binaries for the version of DE that you will revert back to.
2. Restore the database from backups.
3. Cold start the product.
