Issue/Introduction

SpectroSERVER alarmed with "FAILURE DURING COMPRESSION OF THE SAVEFILE" during an OnlineBackup on Linux in Spectrum.

OLB save failed.

Environment

Redhat Linux

Cause

Spectrum ships with gzip in $SPECROOT/Install-Tools.
This application is a 32-bit application.
The resulting Gzipped file is larger than 2GB which is the max file size for a 32bit application.

Resolution

Copy the Redhat Linux 64bit gzip into $SPECROOT/Install-Tools.

Verify the permissions on the gzip executable are correct.  Make sure it is owned by the Spectrum install owner and that it has executable permissions.
