Error when adding new metric to Vendor Certification

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to add a new metric to a vendor certification via rest the following error is returned:

<errorText>"newMetricName" is not defined in {http://im.ca.com/normalizer}MetricFamilyName</errorText>

Environment

Dx NetOps Performance Management

Resolution

This error indicates the metric you are adding does not exist in the metric family the Vendor Certification is related to.

You must add the metric to the Metric Family via extension or addition before collecting the new metric in the Vendor Certification.
