Device Import Error Invalid reference in field ASP-I2

Issue/Introduction

I am receiving an error during a device import:
Invalid reference in field "import_cpu_type_id". (ASP-I2)

Resolution

The CPU type needs to exist in the application before being imported. You can add the type under Organization - Master Data - Devices - CPU Types. 

If the message references another field, the value will need to be added the the referenced field.
