Vantage ACF01200 ACF01012 - Windows Client

Issue/Introduction

I installed the Windows Client and was able to connect for one day, after that I am not authorized to logon again. The Windows Vantage Client issue this message to logon: "The User is not Authorized to use the Application" The z/OS task issues the following message:

VAN0846I TCP LU TCPXXXXX Connected from IP Addr XXX.XX.XX.XXX Port XX,XXX
VAN0853E TCP LU TCPXXXXX Closed from GUI (or Network) side After Upgrading GUI:
VAN0846I TCP LU TCPXXXXX Connected from IP Addr XXX.XX.XX.XXX Port XX,XXX
ACF01200 INVALID PASSWORD/AUTHORITY FOR ID XXXXXXX FROM TCPXXXXX
ACF01012 PASSWORD NOT MATCHED

Resolution

First, please upgrade to the latest version of the Windows Client and try to connect again.

If you receive the following errors, you have a security and authority issue. ACF01200 and ACF01012 are produced by ACF and you need to follow up with ACF support.

ACF01200 INVALID PASSWORD/AUTHORITY FOR ID MISZSAL FROM TCP00001
ACF01012 PASSWORD NOT MATCHED ACF2 password is needed.
