When starting one of the Compliance Event Manager component tasks CEMWHSE, CEMMON, CEMLOGGR or CEMALERT after an install I am getting CEM0266E with RC = 00000050, what causes this error?

Resolution

The problem appears to be related to the MAPDB database not being initialized properly. For a new install or after creating a new MAPDB database the CEMELDAP task must be started before any other Compliance Event Manager task in order to initialize the MAPDB database. 

Note: Job J01150SP from the CUSTOM.JOBLIB installation library is used to create the MAPDB database as part of the product configuration.

The CUSTOM.JOBLIB(AREADME) file which states: 

** AFTER ALL JOBS ARE SUCCESSFULLY RUN, THE FOLLOWING TASKS CAN BE STARTED IN THE ORDER SPECIFIED: 

CEMELDAP
CEMETOM
CEMERTR
CEMWHSE
CEMMON
CEMLOGGR
CEMALERT 

To address the error please to the following. 

1) Stop all Compliance Manger Tasks
2) Re-Run the CUSTOM.JOBLIB(J01150SP) job
3) Start CEMELDAP first as described above
4) Start CEMETOM, CEMERTR and CEMWHSE
