Issue/Introduction
Can CA ENF be used to capture a DSCLOSE event from a USS file system and trigger a batch job from CA Scheduler?
Environment
z/OS 2.x
CA Common Services 14.1, 15.0
Resolution
CA Common Services ENF cannot be used for this as the DSCLOSE event is for SMF 15 records and is not consistent with USS file systems. To trigger a batch job based on a USS file system event with CA Scheduler you would need to install GTS (General Transaction Server). Note that GTS is delivered with CA Scheduler Job Management.
