Install of Infrastructure-Agent causing issue with Windows Service

CA Application Performance Management Agent (APM / Wily / Introscope) INTROSCOPE

Issue/Introduction

Windows 2016 64 bits APM 10.7 SP2 Installed Infrastructure-Agent on Windows 2016 using APM 10.7 SP2 installer package for Infrastructure-Agent-10.7.
The install of Infrastructure-Agent completes successfully with no issue. Once install is complete, we find that a strange item called "Program" gets created at the root of the drive. The Infrastructure-Agent is installed under "E:\Program Files\CA" The strange item "Program" gets created at E:\.
We find that due to this item "Program", we are unable to start the Windows Service "CA SSO Policy Server".
Checking windows events, we see an error:
"The smpolicysrv service failed to start due to the following error: smpolicysrv is not a valid Win32 application."
Once we delete the item "Program", then we are successfully able to start the Windows Service "CA SSO Policy Server".

Resolution

Engineering team has made changes to apmia-ca-installer.bat so that it will not create the program file.

apmia-ca-installer.bat is attached which can be used.

File name:Infrastructure-Agent-installer-fix.zip 

The zip file contains new apmia-ca-installer.bat. 

Instructions to use the fix. 

exact the Infrastructure-Agent install package. 

make a backup copy of original apmia-ca-installer.bat. file. 

replace this file with one from the attach zip file. 

install the agent.
