CA Automic Workload Automation - Automation Engine

Issue/Introduction

When a job runs repeatedly, eventually it randomly produces a job runtime which is negative - the end time of the job is before the job's start time.

Environment

Release: AUTWAB99000-12.2-Automic Workload Automation-Base Edition
Component: AUTOMATION ENGINE

Resolution

To obtain the correction for this issue please install one of the following versions or higher:

  • Automation Engine 12.0.8 - Available
  • Automation Engine 12.1.5 - Available
  • Automation Engine 12.2.2 - Available
  • Automation Engine 12.3.0 - Available

All of the dates above are tentatively planned and are subject to change.

Correction Description:
An error has been fixed where jobs ended with a negative runtime if the runtime was zero and the job failed in post-processing.
In this case, the end-time was overwritten by the activation time, which resulted in a negative calculated runtime.
