Issue/Introduction
Message definitions in IDMS in the range of DC900000 to DC999998 are not defined by IDMS. They are defined and issued by user applications and/or third party products.
CA-IDMS provides for the definition and issuing of messages in the IDMS dictionary.
Many messages are defined and used by the IDMS system software.
Users can also define their own messages and issue such messages in their own code.

Resolution
The range of message ids from DC900000 to DC999998 is reserved for user applications only.
Such messages are defined and used by user programs - not IDMS.
Unexpected or unexplained instances of such messages should be investigated from the perspective of the user code first before considering problems with the IDMS system software.
