Fatal error with error code 13568 during Applications Manager install or upgrade

Issue/Introduction

During an Applications Manager installation or upgrade, it may fail during the import of STATIC as seen in the below example:

IMPEXP IMPORT STATIC

Processing IMPORT
Import Cleanup Started
delete_aw_export_file
Import Cleanup Complete
Building Import file d:\sample\tmp\STATIC.2824 from d:\sample\import\STATIC.exp
Could not complete sqlldr with d:\appworx\tmp\STATIC.2824
err=13568
The system cannot find the file specified.
*************** Import Failed **********************
Fatal Error occurred - check the log d:\sample\install\aw_install.log

Environment

Release: 9.3+
Component: APPMGR

Cause

The sqlldr command is not found

Resolution

Open up a command prompt and then simply run a sqlldr command and review the results. Depending on the results, please refer to your DBA as the possible fixes are:

1. Reinstall Oracle utilities on client machine
2. Confirm that environment variable such as %ORACLE_HOME%, etc.
3. sqlldr may be missing a library file
