Issue/Introduction

When trying to install or upgrade UIM infrastructure, the following error is displayed:

===================================================

Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported

Unable to load and to prepare the installer in console or silent mode.

=======================================================

After that, the installation aborts, with no further detail.

Cause

This is caused by a bug present in Java 1.8.0_112 or higher.

Environment

UIM 8.51, 9.02
Red Hat Enterprise Server 7.x
JAVA 1.8.0_112 or higher

Resolution

The workaround is to switch back to Utopia fonts in /etc/fonts/local.conf file.

1- Create the "local.conf" file in /etc/fonts directory.

2- Copy the text contained in the link below, and paste it into the "local.conf" file created:

3- Save and exit and re-run the installer.  This should fix the "Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported" error.

If the problem still persists, please open a support case.

If still have the same issue, please use this steps and restart the sshd
